In a sit-inside kayak the paddler sits in the cockpit of the kayak with his/her legs under the deck. Most Emotion Kayaks’ Sit-inside models come equipped with adjustable foot bracing and have large, oversized cockpit openings for easy entry and exiting.

Sit-inside kayaks are typically preferred by paddlers paddling in cold climate conditions or who want protection from the elements and a drier ride. The use of a spray skirt will prevent splashes, waves and rain from getting in the kayak and keep the paddler dry. This allows you to extend your paddling season into the cooler parts of the year.

Gear is stored below deck and accessed through the cockpit or hatches. Items can also be strapped or latched to the deck for easy access.
