Why does my kayak have a drain plug?

Every Emotion Kayak (except the Advant-Edge, which has a bulkhead) has a drain plug. We use marine grade hardware including rivets, fasteners, gaskets, etc., on all of our kayaks. But eventually, you may get some water inside your boat. The drain plug allows you to remove water that gets inside. Simply unscrew the plug, tilt the kayak up, and let the water drain out. When you’re done, don’t forget to replace the drain plug!
